Ingeniousness: The best use of simple technologies, the simple way to use new technologies.
Inventiveness
Visible or invisible; a certain technique enables the designer to develop products and our relationship with them, to plan new uses for them over time, or new conditions of performance. A creative interplay of mechanisms, mountings, materials, shapes, styles and colours. Create eyewear, play with technology!
Objectives
To give students and young professionals an opportunity to express their creativity and thoughts in the eyewear industry. To provide a springboard for the most creative.
To motivate creation within the French eyewear industry.
Prize
Four prizes for each category :
First prize: 4,000 euros
Second prize: 2,300 euros
Third prize: 1,500 euros

Timetable Registrations on line (www.lunetiers-du-jura.com): 1 December 2003-15 February 2004. Submission of design projects: by 4 March 2004.
1st selection procedure: 12 March 2004 (approx. 20 projects for each category).
Submission of specifications by those short-listed: by 8 May 2004.
2nd selection procedure: 14 May 2004 (approximately 5 design projects for each category).
Completion of prototypes in collaboration with a partner company: May to August 2004.
Last selection procedure and award ceremony: 2nd-3rd September 2004 in Paris.
